If you’ve ever dreamed of cuddling a bunny, bottle-feeding a baby goat, or meeting a real-life Highland cow, then Nore Valley Park’s Pet Farm is your kind of place. Whether you’re visiting for the day or staying onsite as part of your Nore Valley Camping adventure, the pet farm is a must-do experience that brings visitors face to face with a lovable mix of furry, fluffy, and feathered friends.
Here’s everything you can expect during a fun-filled day on the farm.
Meet the Animals
Nore Valley Park is home to a wonderfully diverse collection of animals that kids and adults alike will fall in love with. Say hello to friendly alpacas, charming Swiss Valais sheep, playful goats, and the ever-popular lambs (especially adorable in springtime). You’ll also meet bunnies, chicks, guinea pigs, hamsters, pigs, cows, ponies, donkeys, and a variety of birds.
Don’t miss the farm’s iconic Highland cows with their long shaggy coats — always a visitor favourite and perfect for a countryside selfie!
Hands-On Farm Fun
What sets Nore Valley Park’s Pet Farm apart is the interactive experience. Every day, visitors can take part in bottle-feeding sessions at 1:30pm or 4:45pm, where you’ll have the chance to feed baby lambs or goats. You can also join the petting sessions to hold and cuddle some of the smaller animals, like chicks, rabbits, and guinea pigs — an unforgettable experience, especially for little animal lovers.
No need to book ahead — these sessions are included in the general entry fee. Just show up, join in, and enjoy!
A Day on the Farm
To help you make the most of your visit, the farm follows a seasonal activity timetable, so there’s always something happening. Whether it’s low season or peak summer, you can expect a well-organized, family-friendly day out with time to meet animals, play, and relax.
Want to burn off some energy? After the farm, head over to the playground, tackle the giant chess board,or race around on the pedal go-karts (best for older kids and teens).
Accessibility & Comfort
The farm is mostly buggy and wheelchair friendly. While some animal enclosures are in a sloped field, they’re generally accessible when the weather is dry. Just be prepared with sturdy wheels if it’s been raining!
You’ll find hand sanitizing stations throughout the farm and full handwashing facilities in the bathrooms. Families can enjoy a snack or lunch at the indoor picnic house or at the covered outdoor seating area under the marquee.
Bringing Your Own Furry Friends?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Nore Valley Park — but they must be kept on a lead at all times and are not allowed in the small animals house or reception/shop area. With wide open spaces and a peaceful rural setting, it’s a great outing for dog lovers too.
Say Cheese!
While there aren’t official photo stations around the pet farm, you’re encouraged to take as many snaps as you like. Don’t forget to check your height against the ostrich height chart — it’s a fun (and slightly ridiculous) way to mark your visit!
Looking for a keepsake? Stop by the onsite shop for toys, souvenirs, or a sweet treat before you head home.
A Day to Remember
Whether you’re spending a full day exploring the pet farm or dropping in as part of your Nore Valley Camping holiday, you’ll leave with muddy boots, happy hearts, and a camera roll full of memories.
